what is health coaching?

Firstly, it’s a plan for you. Health coaching is an individual programme created by understanding your current situation, identifying your aspirations and defining a pathway to reach – or even surpass – these goals. The overall aim is to guide you forward, to a healthier and more balanced version of what you are today.

As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach I will work with you to provide a supportive, compassionate and confidential mentoring environment. Using real experience and well-tested practices I will guide you towards a better understanding of your daily choices and the influence they have on your life.

My approach to health coaching enables you to take ownership and responsibility of your actions – I want the changes we make to be realistic, sustainable, enjoyable and, above all, effective. I aim to facilitate a level of personal growth and transformation that you perhaps didn’t think would be possible!

Together, we look at the balance of elements in your life that support – or inhibit – your physical and mental health. The food that we eat and the way that we move are just part of nourishing self care but as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach I also look objectively at other areas such as relationships, career, stress, and spirituality. I help clients to move away from old patterns that are no longer serving them and to create new practices which provide better overall health, awareness and motivation.

I always begin the process by guiding you towards the areas of your life that you are comfortable to explore and from there it becomes a path that is personally defined and created by you.

my story

With a diverse career (a BSc in Mathematics, Business and Psychology, an IT business consultant, a fitness instructor, partner in a web marketing and design business) my passion for nutrition, fitness and health has always been a priority for myself and my family. As a parent of two children I firmly believe in the importance and difficulty in raising a family in our busy, modern world.

Having struggled for years with some deep personal issues, I have learned lessons and practices which have brought more balance, clarity and freedom to my daily life and health. I understand and support my clients during their own challenging life situations. I believe that it’s only through compassionate and authentic connection that I am able to do this.

I am a student of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a school dedicated to empowering people to transform their health and well being.

Making changes to your life is not easy, it involves commitment and dedication.
It’s about practice not perfection. Above all, you have to want to do it.

who needs a health coach?

You don’t consider your health until perhaps you don’t have it. You might be stuck in patterns that are continually making you feel less than great. You need some information about your current diet as you know you need to make improvements in these areas of your life. You are probably operating below your full potential.

You might have a specific health concern with which you need some extra support and understanding. You feel that now is the time to really try to change your situation. Feeling stuck is an incredibly difficult and isolating place to be, you know you need to make changes but you don’t know how.

Your program is individual to your situation, focus and goal. Packages are usually six months in length and we meet on a fortnightly basis at a scheduled time. It’s an optimum time to form new daily practices and to look at any challenges that you might face.

Your initial consultation takes 50 minutes and is an exploration of your current health situation and identification of your health goals.

My clients get results when they are fully committed to the program.

I work with clients at my home office in Bath, or via Zoom/Google Meet, or elsewhere by arrangement.
